MoonSnake is a lively all-female pop/rock band based in Switzerland, which had it's beginnings in 1999. The band's innovative style is defined by memorable original songs which focus on critical modern themes and are influenced by the musicians' wide range of experience. 3-part harmonies and an electric harp give the pop/rock sound extra spice, and make MoonSnake unforgettable.
MoonSnake have many gigs behind them and they are beginning to move in the mainstream scene. Their song "Freedom" was recently put on a UK compilation CD which is now being advertised on MTV! This CD is available for sale from iTunes, Amazon.co.uk, CD Baby and Tower Records. Other exciting news includes a feature interview on an American website, interest from a swiss record company, and three appearances in June at an open-air festival on lake Constance (Rorschach, Switzerland.)
NEWSFLASH! 30.5.2007 MoonSnake has won the first round of the "Acoustic Song Contest" in Uster, Switzerland: Local pop & rock bands play their best songs in an unplugged setting. The best bands come to the finale. Prizes include radio promotion and heavy airplay rotation, an appearance at Switzerland's largest Open-Air Festival, Open-Air Hoch Ybrig, free recording-studio time, and more.
